Absolute Health Fire Safety is founded and led by Lee Brown, an experienced Fire Protection Consultant with a professional background in the fire service.
Lee began his career as a Firefighter with West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service, before gaining further experience working within the fire industry at an international airport.
This first-hand experience has provided him with a strong understanding of fire safety, risk management and the practical challenges businesses and organisations face when protecting people and premises.
Lee has since developed his professional qualifications and expertise, enabling Absolute Health Fire Safety to provide comprehensive fire risk assessments, fire safety training and consultancy services across Yorkshire.

Fire Safety Qualifications & Professional Accreditations
Fire risk assessments should be undertaken by a competent person with appropriate training, knowledge and experience.
Lee Brown and our fire risk assessors hold recognised fire safety qualifications and professional credentials, including:
- Level 4 diploma in fire risk assessment
- FPA Advanced assessments in residential properties
- NEBOSH National Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management
- NEBOSH Health and Safety
- Graduate Member of the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE)
- Level 3 award in fire door inspections
- Registered on the Institute of Fire Safety Managers (IFSM) Competent Fire Risk Assessors Register
A fire risk assessment is required to identify potential fire hazards, assess the risks to people and determine what measures are needed to prevent, reduce or control those risks. Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, the Responsible Person has a legal duty to ensure a suitable and sufficient assessment is carried out and kept up to date. It is an important part of protecting patients, staff, visitors and other people within the premises.
A comprehensive fire risk assessment involves five key areas: identifying potential fire hazards, identifying people at risk, evaluating and controlling fire risks, recording findings and recommendations, and reviewing the assessment to ensure it remains suitable and up to date.
Reviews should be carried out regularly and whenever significant changes occur to the premises, its use, occupancy or fire safety arrangements.

Yes. Absolute Health Fire Safety provides fire awareness training and fire warden training for organisations across the public and private sectors. We help employers ensure staff receive appropriate fire safety information, instruction and training to understand their responsibilities and respond effectively in the event of a fire.
