Fire Warden Training - Course Content

When you undertake training with Absolute Health Fire Safety, you’ll learn everything you possibly need to know about fire safety so that you can act as the responsible fire warden(s). Course content will include understanding fire safety law, fire risk assessments, evacuation routes and signs, emergency plans, and much more. Here’s a more detailed breakdown of the training:

•Introduction – We’ll start by giving your team an introduction to fire safety, the latest legislation, the importance of fire warden and the role you’ll play, and the best ways to prepare for your role.

•Understand Fire – Once you have been introduced to the training content, we’ll proceed to help you understand what’s needed to be learned about the different classes of fire, dangerous substances, hazard labeling and packaging, and safety data sheets

•Fire risk assessments – As part of your role in preventing and reducing the impact of fire in your workplace, training will also cover everything you need to know about fire risk assessments. You’ll learn all steps of a fire risk assessment from identifying potential fire hazards to reviewing and updating fire risk assessments.

•Evacuation routes – Part of your responsibility as a fire warden will be to ensure that evacuation routes and signs are crystal clear in the event of a fire. You’ll learn all about the requirements of evacuation routes, procedures, emergency lighting, and more.

•Emergency plans – The final part of the training will be focused on conducting emergency plans, procedures, and drills. By the end of the training, you’ll fully understand your duties as a fire warden (marshal) and be competent in all necessary procedures

Is Fire Warden Training A Legal Requirement?

In line with The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, it is a legal requirement to have the necessary fire warden(s) on-site at your premises.
